Homemade pizza rolls are crisp, cheesy, and freezer-friendly—perfect for snacking, lunchboxes, or game day.
Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1/2 cup mini pepperoni (optional)
1/2 cup pizza sauce, plus more for dipping
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for brushing)
Instructions
Heat oven to 425°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment.
Roll dough into a 12×16-inch rectangle. Cut into 24 squares.
Add 1 teaspoon pizza sauce + a pinch mozzarella (and a few mini pepperoni if using) to each square.
Fold into rectangles and press edges to seal (use a fork to crimp).
Brush with egg wash. Sprinkle Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder on top.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes until golden. Cool 5 minutes before eating. Serve with warm pizza sauce.
Notes
Freezer: Freeze unbaked rolls on a tray, then bag. Bake from frozen at 425°F for 16 to 18 minutes.
Shortcut: Use string cheese pieces for easy filling.
