Description

Juicy garlic butter shrimp cooked in minutes with a silky lemon-garlic butter sauce—an easy, protein-packed dinner that’s perfect over pasta or with bread for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  2. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Transfer to a plate.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining 3 tablespoons butter, garlic, and red pepper flakes; cook 30–45 seconds.
  5. Stir in lemon juice. Return shrimp (and juices) to the skillet and toss 30 seconds to coat.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
