Description

This **filet mignon with garlic butter** is a perfectly cooked steak with a rich, buttery garlic sauce. Simple, indulgent, and ready in about 30 minutes.

Ingredients

– 2 filet mignon steaks (6–8 oz each)

– 1 tablespoon olive oil

– 1 teaspoon salt

– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

### Garlic Butter Sauce

– 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

– 3 cloves garlic, minced

– 1 sprig fresh thyme

– 1 sprig fresh rosemary

– 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Sear for 3–4 minutes per side until a golden-brown crust forms.

2. Add butter, garlic, thyme, and rosemary to the skillet. Spoon the butter over the steaks for 2–3 minutes until the desired doneness.

3. Let steaks rest for 5 minutes. Plate and serve with extra garlic butter and garnish with parsley.

Notes

– For medium-rare, cook to an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C).

– Use a cast-iron skillet for the best sear.
